The other day we heard that the UPnP had certified a new Xperia device, the ST27. A user agent profile has now been found on Sony’s website that gives some more details about the handset.
The Xperia Lotus appears to be a successor the the Xperia Active handset released last year and looks like it will have a US release as well as an international release and will go by the model numbers ST27a and ST27i respectfully. The user agent report lists the Xperia Lotus as featuring a 3 inch display with a resolution of 480×800 along with a single core 1GHz processor. While not the greatest specifications, if it is a successor to the Sony Ericsson Xperia Active, it will most likely be water and dust resistant and be targeting a specific market. The Xperia ST27 is listed as running on Android 2.3 but, will most likely get an upgrade to ICS before launch and perhaps before an official announcement from Sony.
